“...a person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material; a continually changing constellation of potentialities, not a fixed quantity of traits.”

How Therapy Helps

Are You Ready for Change?

Do you have a hard time coping with current or past situations?
Do you feel stuck?
Are you unable to make decisions?
Are you experiencing issues in your relationships?
Do you feel angry, sad, depressed or anxious?

Therapy can be beneficial in many ways. It can help you learn new ways of coping with whatever struggles you might be facing, including depression, anxiety, body image, trauma, grief, difficulties with intimate relationships and problems with substance use. It is a process of identifying what is most important to you and giving you the tools to deal with any barriers that are getting in the way of living the life you want to live. Therapy can help you create more meaningful relationships, increase your self-esteem, teach you skills to better deal with stress and anxiety, manage difficult situations, improve communication skills and guide you through establishing healthy behavior patterns.

As your therapist, my goal is to become an ally in your journey to personal growth and offer an outside, non-judgmental perspective. Together we can uncover unhelpful patterns that hold you back from reaching your full potential.

I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with extensive experience working with adults in private practice and outpatient agency setting providing treatment for individuals with dual diagnosis. As a therapist I strive to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere to help you work through patterns and issues interfering with your living a more satisfying life.

My approach is tailored to specific needs of each individual client I work with. I integrate various evidence-based approaches and utilize mindfulness techniques to help my clients be self-reflective and create lasting change.

I received a master's degree in General Psychology from City University of New York, and master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. I consider continuing my own education to be invaluable and essential component to offering the highest quality of care.
